April is upon us and for me it comes with a bittersweet feeling. On April 4, 2011 my Nana, Mary Ellen Spezze, began her journey with Jesus and the angels in Heaven. As you can imagine, my world came crashing down! The signs of life that arise with the coming of a new season were a blur to me as my world felt dark and gloomy now that my little Nana was no longer by my side. I know she would have never wanted me to feel this way. I had to focus all of my time and energy on my relationship with God. I knew that no matter what life threw my way I could make it through because He is with me!!
My blog came alive through a combination of these personal experiences!! Countless prayers, a desire to share my passion, and the memory of my Nana lead me to the launch of my blog! This had been a dream of mine for quite some time. I found it fitting to name my blog after one of my Nana’s favorite flowers, the pink peony! To honor her this April I wore her favorite color and had some fun with these beautiful fresh flowers!!
